BR!CK Award - The BR!CK Awards honor the nation’s finest young world-changers. Winners represent the best in their field or issue and are rewarded with a huge community grant and a special televised award ceremony.

 Christopher Reeve Award – The Heart of America Foundation's Christopher Reeve Award is presented each year to an extraordinary youth who has demonstrated tremendous courage and compassion in serving his or her community.

 WFSB “Everyday Hero” Award – Channel 3's Scot Haney introduces us to a person each Friday who, by attitude and actions -- either big or small -- help make our state and the world a better place.

 Kohl’s “Kids who Care” Award – The Kohl's Kids Who Care initiative recognizes and rewards youth for generous community service.

Angelsoft “Angels in Action” Award – Through Angel Soft Angels in Action, children and teens are recognized and rewarded for executing exemplary acts of service to benefit their community, a charity or cause.

CFC loves a win-win deal. Our local demand had grown so great, we needed a steady stream of computers to be refurbished. Ken Cairns, a vocational instructor at the state prison, was looking for computers to use to teach IT skills to his inmates. The two organizations joined forces to help each other out. The goal is twofold, Cairns said: Inmates gain computer skills and accomplish something good for the community. Said one inmate: "The great thing about this program is that I'm making a difference on the outside even though I'm caged in here," he said. "It makes an impact on the world, and that's what life is. ... When you're able to put [a computer] together and make it work, that's fantastic." Read more here
